Installing the AGETOR Workbench as an Eclipse plug-in

The AGETOR Workbench Eclipse plug-in is easily installed in a few steps from within your Eclipse installation. The steps are detailed below.

Prerequisites

The AGETOR Workbench require Eclipse version 3.4. To get full benefit of schema support for broker and file-inlet you should upgrade your AGETOR installation to the latest versions of the ADK (3.1.3+), AXT Basic (3.1.3+) and ftpinlet (3.1.1+). These are available on the download center. The AGETOR Workbench will work without these upgrades but some features will be disabled. Note that the installation process may vary in time depending on the number of projects present in your Eclipse installation. When adding AGETOR installations to the workbench a large number of files in the AGETOR installation may cause the plug-in to spend a significant amount of time adding and validating the files. You should simple await termination of this process and not try to halt the setup which will eventually terminate successfully.

Installing the AGETOR Workbench Plugin

In Eclipse select the "Help"->"Software Updates" entry

Choose "Available Software"->"Add site" and enter the AGETOR address: www.agetor.com/agetorworkbench

Check the AGETOR Workbench and choose "Install"

Wait while dependencies are resolved

Accept the plug-in

Accept the license conditions of the plug-in and related components

Accept to restart Eclipse (it will restart again automatically)

Setting up an AGETOR installation as a project

Select "File"->"New Project"

Choose the AGETOR Project type

Browse to the location on the disk where the installation is located

Type a project name that describe the installation (what is shown in Eclipse)

Click finish and await that Eclipse refreshes the workspace

If you installation contains many .xml or .html files this part may take a while because the files are validated.

The AGETOR perspective should be activated and the project overview page shown
